Unplanned trip to Kazipet.
Got a call form my dad on Thursday asking me to do some voluntary work for the newly constructed purified water plant tank at pandurangapuram (My Native Place).
The work is to get the account books from Bala Vikasa (An NGO which is having lot of experience in maintaining and volunteering purified drinking water plants across the state),kazipet. Googled for trains to go to Kazipet, got the train number(640, a push-pull train from secuendrabad to Warangal) and distance. But I was not sure about frequency of the trips. As the distance is just 132KM, and as it is one of the major railway junction I thought I thought that I will get some or other train from Secuenderabad.
Here is how my trip went-on
At 9.50 I started from Hitec-City Railway Station, bought the ticket and went to the platform and the train arrived, I was Lucky for the first time, no waiting time.
10.22 got off the train at Sec. and stood in a queue of 10 people and got the ticket to Kazipet, I was Lucky for the second time, as soon as I came back to the platform the train is ready to travel, I jumped in but I was in a doubt whether I am talking the right train or not, checked with co-passengers, they confirmed that i am in the right train. It's almost 10.45 when the train started and a 3hr journey to Kazipet, Stood for some time as there was not space to seat, and finally adjusted to sit with couple of other passengers. Reached kazipet at 13.40, got off the station took couple of snaps of the railway station and got into a shared auto and went to Fathima Nagar, its just 1.5 to 2Km far from Station. As the meeting time was after 2om, Had lunch at a Hotel and went to Bala Vikasa Office, met with Mr. Prathapa Reddy and both went to a press to collect the account books, and luckily the press was just opposite to the railway station and it just took 20-30 mins. to get the books and I am ready to return back. Got in to the station and got the ticket and as soon as I enter in to the platform I a see the train just stopping on the next platforms, rushed to the other platform and ran for some time to get to the general bogie. It was 15.03 on my mobile, and was able to find some palce to sit, again a 3hr journey and reached Sec. RS at 18.02, and my co-passenger checked his MMTS train timing and informed that there is a train at 18.10 to Ligampally, but the queue to get the ticket was very huge, more than 60 people are waiting already by the time i reached there, managed to get the ticket by asking some person who was in the queue. But unluckily this time and the only time this day we missed the train, as it departed from other platform and we were waiting for the train at the same platform on which it is supposed to come. Next train is at 18.40 to Nampally, got in to that and got down at Necklace Road, and took another train which is coming from Nampally and got off at Hitec-City at 19.20.
More than 300km travel, in 9hrs and with an overall waiting time of less than 40mins, and 4 different trains. I am Lucky Today. And today is 20th Dec. 2008
